This second part of the series can be read separately from part one (linked here), but if you have the time, I recommend starting with part one. The CYOA-style game has 20,000 words and 21 endings. Yes, most of the endings are not happy ones, but you can always start from a saved point after an abrupt ending. You can cheat by saving your game every time you are presented with a choice, and going back (reloading) that page if you don't like the ending. After all, this is how we used to play the original CYOA books - using all fingers on your hands to bookmark your previous choices.
